Introducing “Mind Yoga” in the Prison
I was sent by the Yoga Association of Alberta (YAA) to teach Hatha Yoga to the prisoners. Initially I was teaching the asanas in the Hatha Yoga tradition. Sometimes I got as many as 50 prisoners in one class held in the “common area” of the Pod. Now, some of them were not very attentive to learn the poses. Their minds were wandering about and they looked at each other and giggled. These were the younger and stronger prisoners and they thought Yoga was too feminine. They actually felt very challenged with the stretches to get into the poses. Their concentration level was poor, their minds seemed to wandering while doing the poses. In one class I decided to pop the question: “Did your body walked you into the prison or did your mind got you into the prison?” All of them said their “Mind” got them into the prison!!
One day, on my way walking out of the prison, the receptionist asked me how the class was. I explained what I taught and she said: You are teaching “Mind Yoga”! The closest to this is “Jnana Yoga”, mentioned in the Yoga Sutra. I started alternating my classes between Hatha Yoga Asanas and Mind Yoga.
I was very surprise with the many questions they had in Mind Yoga. Here is a short list;
In search of “Me”
YogaChi is Physical, Intellectual and Meditative Quests in Life.
In this Life, I find myself in this planet earth born as a human being, as the third child to my parents, Benjamin and Theresa. They are both Anglican Christian and I was naturally brought up an Anglican. But I had my schooling in a Catholic school simply because there was no school run the Anglican Diocese at that time. I went through the rituals of baptism, Sunday school and confirmation in the Anglican tradition. I also received good training in the scriptures through the Catholic school. We Christians believe that through Jesus we will go to Heaven as long as we do not mess up with the Ten Commandments. The Old Testament as a composite of books were very mysterious when I read them at the age from thirteen to sixteen. People have amazing longevity and there were stories of revenge and cruelty.
I came to Canada from Malaysia in 1965 to continue with my education in electronic engineering, physics and computer science. With a job offer, I decided to stay and make Canada my new home country. My schooling and job years have taken me to Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver and Edmonton.
All those years I still go to Anglican Church. While in Edmonton, I once went to a service when Dr. Randall Ivany who was an Archdeacon and who was the Ombudsman for Edmonton, when he outlined one’s quests for spirituality in the following sequence (1) Institutionalized (2) Intellectual and (3) Mystical. Each one initially will pursue the religion of one’s parents. That is when one will be institutionalized into their religion. The institution puts a mental loyalty boundary making one fearful to pursue another religion. If one has the inquisitive and the daring to learn from different religious and non-religious institutions, then one enters into the stage of “intellectual pursuit”. The last stage is when one picks up the idea of meditation, to pursue “experience of knowing”, then he or she enters the stage of “Mystical”. In Randall’s opinion, only through “meditation” will each of us discovers and experiences the mystery of God or Creator.
At the age of 12, I had a very short profound moment of awe and loss. I was wondering why am I thinking and feeling the way I am; why am I not experiencing the thinking and the feeling of another person. Why did I so suddenly come to this planet earth, why did I not go somewhere else? I actually felt very humanly alone in a quest which I was unable to define.
Then armed with the teaching of Dr. Randall Ivany, I begin to have critical inquiries. I must suggest that I had a very difficulty time to take the first step to look into Buddhism apart from Christianity. Once I come out the initial institution box so to speak, it became easier for me to even expand my exploration of other institutional teachings. I felt so much at ease when the Buddhist Master Lu told me that I did not have to give up Christianity when I embraced the Buddhist teaching. Master Lu said that I should continue to respect my past teachers if they had resonated with me. In this case it was the teachings of Jesus. I did not dwell deep into Buddhism because like Christianity it is based on “believing” and my knowledge of Chinese was very limited, so advanced texts in Buddhism were beyond my comprehension.
I began to look deep into philosophical, historical and scientific researchers and “critical thinkers” pursued by such people as Jordan Maxwell, Ken Cousens, Santo Bonnacci, Dr Bruce. Lipton, Gregg Braden, David Icke, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Barbara Ann Brennan, Drunvalo Melchizedek, and others. I went to meditations offered by different people and groups and studied with different psychic people. There was so many different layers of information; and, my goodness, the physicist Nassim Haramein found in the Old Testament, God also had been given the name of “Tretagrammaton”! What was going on??
One time at the Buddhist temple I met a lady No-We-Ta and she was the first to introduced me to the ideas of Ascended Masters and Cosmic Masters. I was influenced into looking into Yoga by Zena U., Chris B, Gerda K, Margo B. who are yoga teachers and the book entitled Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda. Then I began yoga training with the Yoga Association of Alberta. I had the opportunity to meet up with Roy Eugene Davis who was a direct disciple of Yogananda. He came to Edmonton twice and I met him twice. His influence on me to pursue Jnana and Samadhi was based on his remarks, from his observation of yogis in north America, they were and still is mostly identifying contorting the body as yoga. He said they were missing much of what yoga should really be. I asked him about “Enlightenment” and his answer was “Enlightenment is a process with an undefined Finale”.
I had a six hours private conversation with Swami Brahmanishanada, who was/is a Hindu Teacher; we shared many ideas and I must say I was very frustrated when he kept questioning me; where are you inside your body? Are you in your brain? Are you in your stomach? Are you in your kidneys? And so forth. I conceded that I did not know and hope he would give me an answer. He did not. I told him I am tired of believing in religions as every religion ask one to believe. I told him I want to “know” not “believe”. He said to me; Paul we have talked beyond religions. I am a Hindu Teacher, and I teach Hinduism. I must say after I told him “I want to know, and not believe” events unfolded to seemingly let me “know”.
Through No-We-Ta, I got to know Franklin T. His back ground was in Egyptian Yoga. I had some of the best meditation practices with him. For example, he would put us into extremely dark environment and this seemed to compelled a heightened sense of awareness; meaning I was trying to “sense my surroundings” more, with out my ability to see. He also had invited Ascended and Cosmic Masters to come during our meditation. He had always talked about “space people” such as the Pleaidians. One time he put a colleague, Brian, into hypnotic regression and Brian was able to recount his assignment to come to this planet from another system of world. I was there to take notes as Franklin put him into the hypnotic regression. Another time we sat on a bench outside a church and he recounted an experience that a Cosmic Master has taken him “out into space” and showed him our entire Milky Way Galaxy. His experience was exactly similar to the one told by my Buddhist Master when he was taken out deep into space and looked back at our galaxy. Franklin told me he is able to travel to different heavens, and if he were to “leave for the Yonder”, he would want to go to the Pleaidian Heaven. He said Cosmic Masters were/are able to create their own “special worlds out there” and their students would gravitate there.
When I thought I had enough of meditation methodologies, I was asked by two friends to visit a workshop given by two angels, Akasha and Asun. That was already 15 years ago. I did not want to go but they insisted that I should to at least try the introductory session on a Friday night. I went and I have been going to listen to them for the last fifteen years now. The angels are channelled by two messengers Usa (Craig Russell) and Excalibur (Jayde Dunser). These messengers can channel a whole host of Ascended Masters and Cosmic Masters. It is through their channelling that Jesus said he is/was from the “Golden Shrine Galaxy”. Any one interested can go the “Radiant Rose Academy, Vancouver, BC”. My old friend Bill M, who helped in the designed the Boeing 747, came to several such workshops with me. After several workshops, I asked him what did he think. He said to me: I think they were authentic. He said there were just too many layers of detail and too many seminars given by them for them to “make up the stories” so quickly. The most influential statement I learned from the Angel Akasha is: “Essential harmlessness to yourself and to others”. And from the Immortal Athena, she confirmed the existence of Multiverse and our universe is simply one of those within the Multiverse. The idea of multiverse by Athena, confirmed the information I received from my conversation with the Archangel Gabriel.
With all these teachings I slowly come to realize that I am actually a “Bubble of Intelligence” learning new information, increasing my awareness. I conclude: I am Intelligence. “Me” is the very intelligence that “I Am”.
“Subconscious” vs “Unaware”
When people talked about the “Mind” or “Brain” there is a frequent reference to “Conscious
Mind” or the “Subconscious Mind”. Neuroscientists, doctors, philosophers, theologians, and
meditators all refer to two forms of minds- “Conscious and Subconscious Minds”.
“Consciousness Mind” has information we remember or knew but don’t remember;
“Subconscious Mind” has information we don’t remember and never knew it was there. My
question has always been; “What is the “you” or “I” that uses Consciousness? And what really is
the Subconscious that we don’t remember or know about?”
Another word we use is “Awareness” and it was never defined accurately what is the difference
between “Awareness” and “Consciousness”; and they are often used interchangeably. I once
spent more than ten hours with a priest trying to figure out: “Which comes first, awareness or
consciousness? And, what is subconsciousness in relation to consciousness?” We did not come
up with an answer even after several years later. The priest has since passed away.
I go about my ways, developing YogaChi – physical, intellectual, and meditative- quests in Life.
Since YogaChi is a system, it must at least have supportive “philosophy, methodology, and
techniques”. To make this system robust, the definitions used within it must be defined and
robust as well. I continue my research in religious materials, new age materials, attend lectures
and listening to different teachings propagated in the internet.
About ten years ago I was listening to a lecture by the Angel Akasha transmitted via the
messenger Usa, of the Radiant Rose Academy. She was speaking about a topic that referred to
the “Mind”. For what exactly the reason was, I do not remember, she emphasized the point:
“There is no such thing as ‘subconscious’”. She did not explain why that is so. She said there is
only “Awareness” and “Consciousness”. The “umbrella words” that are mostly used for dealing
with the mind “Consciousness” and “Subconscious”; and, awareness is thrown into such
discussions without a definitive distinction between awareness and consciousness.
I decided within the context of YogaChi I would use “Intelligence” as the umbrella word to
describe “Mind’s activities”. Within “Intelligence” there are two main components, Awareness
and Consciousness. Awareness is the “Present I Am” and Consciousness is the “Total I Am”.
Awareness always function in the “now or present moment”. Consciousness is the total
repository of “memories” and “intentions/possibilities of the future” that were defined by
Awareness. Now what is “subconscious”? Angel Akasha said there is no such thing as
subconscious and in the discussions below I will show that Angel Akasha is correct.
I teach physical yoga (Asana Yoga) and mind yoga (Jnana and Samadhi Yoga) in the prison. In
mind yoga there are always mentioned by the prisoners of subconscious/ness. I asked them to
define what is subconscious/ness and the answers are “not sure”, “information we don’t remember”, “information we don’t know about”. I asked what is the “thing” that used “consciousness” or ‘subconsciousness”.
The “thing” that uses “consciousness” is “awareness”. Awareness defines one’s Consciousness,
which is the diary of information to be referred to again by Awareness. Awareness “time
travel” when it accesses Consciousness. One can become aware of the past by accessing
information in the “memory portion” of Consciousness; become aware of possibilities
previously created by Awareness, by accessing information in the “intention portion” of
Consciousness. The presently knowing part of our intelligence is in our awareness. Awareness
is exactly the “I Am” of who each one is and always functioning in the “now moment”.
Where does Awareness resides in our body? It is in our brain and nervous system. It is only a
portion of our cosmic awareness that enters into the human form. It is connected to our
organs of awareness viz the eyes, ears, nose, tongue and skin to experience our physical and
intellectual environment. With such understanding, we can now deal with “subconscious vs
unaware”. I will do this by examples.
When we looked at something the entire scene is registered into our consciousness. The items
that are most prominent stand out in our awareness. There are background items we do not
intentionally immediately notice. Of such background items, are they “subconsciousness” or
“unawareness”? These background items are actually already in our consciousness but we are
unaware of them. For example, there are artists’ renditions of artworks with hidden faces,
animals, plants; we are asked to find them. At the first look, the entire artwork is registered
into one’s consciousness. One will not immediately become aware where all the faces are,
where all the tigers are, or where an item is placed. Of such “hidden information” is it
“subconsciousness” or “unawareness”? They are in one’s consciousness except one is
“unaware” of them. It is not a “subconscious phenomenon” rather it is an “unaware
Our organs of awareness are the eyes, ears, nose, tongue and skin. If I show a fruit to a person,
say a Jack Fruit, the fruit will be registered in the person’s visual consciousness. The person will
recognize a picture of the fruit. If I ask the person, what is the smell of the fruit? The person
will not know, Is this a subconscious phenomenon or an unaware phenomenon? It can be
asked of the texture of the skin of the Jack Fruit; taste of the meat of the fruit. Are these
subconscious phenomena or unaware phenomena? In YogaChi such phenomena are
considered as “unawareness” and not “subconsciousness”.
In the YogaChi Intellectual philosophy, there is no such thing as “subconscious”. It is always
“unaware” of what is in one’s “total consciousness”. This is a very important point in
understanding such meditative pursuits in YogaChi meditation.
What are your thoughts on consciousness vs unaware?
This is my story in pursuit of understanding Time.
When I was around 9 to 10 years old, my brother Patrick and I were playing at the back of the
house. Patrick is four years older than me and somehow in our chat and play physical activities,
he made a remark. He said “Today, in school, I read in the newspaper that a Russian scientist
suggested Time is a form of energy.” That statement has stayed with me ever since.
I went through high school, college and university – studied electronic engineering, physics and
computer science – with that statement in mind; wondering about Time. In a recent visitation
with my brother, I asked him if he remember telling me about reading “Time is a form of
energy”. He has no recollection at all!
Apart from the academics, I also found myself pursuing sports, swimming, martial arts, tai chi,
qi gong and yoga. During this period, I also begin to take notice of vocabularies, as I worked for
the Department of the Attorney General and the Department of Justice. I found lawyers and
judges are masters of vocabularies. In our English language there are three interesting
“You are wasting your money”
“You are wasting your energy”
“You are wasting your time”
From these statements it appears there are correlations amongst “money”, “time” and
“energy”. So how about “time” is associatively equal to “energy” and “money”!
Apart from learning all the different contortions of physical yoga, there is a need to pursue this
thing called meditation. This led me to my encounter with Swami Brahmanishanada who was
giving a seminar about prana and meditation at the University of Alberta. During the
presentation, I asked him if he would regard “Prana” as God. Very quickly he said “No”. Then I
asked him, “Is Time God?”. He looked at me and then paced about on the stage. Then he
stopped, looked at me said: You are not referring to the wall clock’s time; you are referring to
the energy “Time”. I said “yes”. He paced about on the stage, finally stopped and said to me:
Yes, Time is God. If Time is not God then Time will know the beginning of God.
I was still puzzled, because some of my friends who were advanced in meditation said they
have gone to a place where there is no “Time”.
I studied “vibrational healing” with an energy healer called Inge K. The very first day when I
met Inge, she was smiling and waving her fingers at me and said: “I know you!”. Needless to
say, I was shocked, inquired “Where and when did we meet?” Continuing smiling she said; “In
China; we were the Terra Cotta soldiers!” In subsequent visits I was convinced she was
previously in China. This life time she is German, and yet she knew some of the secrets of
Chinese martial arts, and has been helping her client who was injured in previous life times in
martial arts contests. He was timed to die early in this life time based on his one injury in
previous life. This type of martial art is practically not advertised today.
That first day when I met her, as we were conversing, she said to me; “Your guides are here.” I
asked; “Are they very tall? One man, one woman?”. She said; “Yes”. I was pleasantly surprised,
because some 17 years ago, before I met Inge, I also had learned from another psyche friend
“No-We-Ta”. She was actually a European, but had adopted a north American native name.
She came often to the Buddhist Temple to collect food for the poor. One time I asked her to do
a reading about the scars on my chest. She said; “You got them from Sun dance (Not sure if this
is the way it is spelled)”. Anyway, I learned about Ascended Masters and Cosmic Masters from
her. Before knowing her, I only knew about Jesus and Buddha. Now, she opened up a whole
new area of spiritual wonderment!! She told me I have two guides, they are very tall, one man
and one woman.
Now, back with Inge. I asked where did they come from? She said they came from Polaris.
Where is Polaris? Inge said that is the North Star. She gave me their names. And also
suggested I had other guides coming into the office. I could not see the guides, am only
pleasantly surprised with the information.
One day, as I was talking to her in her office, she looked up and then at me and said; “Gabriel
wants to talk to you”. I said I did not know anyone by the name “Gabriel” except that of the
Archangel Gabriel in the Bible. She affirmed: “Yes, Archangel Gabriel wants to talk to you”. She
said she could not channel the Archangels and I would need to connect with a Michelle G. who
could channel the Archangels. Honest I was unsure if this was a joke of some kind, but three
weeks later, finally my curiosity got the better of me and I arranged to a half hour appointment
with Michelle G. After half an hour was done, I asked if she could extend another half hour;
and when that half hour was done, I asked if I could have another half hour. She said
unfortunately she had another client.
Archangel Gabriel is truly a messenger angel, giving me so much information. I did ask; “What is Time?” He said; “Time is an attribute of God”. Now I understood why Swami Brahmanishanada said that Time is God. Gabriel said God uses Time as the master energy to run this universe. In some other universes, God does not use Time. Now I have a better inkling why some of my friends said they have come to a place in their
meditation, where Time does not exist. This is either at zero point of our universe or they have
travelled to another universe where Time does not exist.
(NB: Unlike religious people I think of Angels, Elohim, Avatar, Immortals, Christs, Krishnas,
Buddhas, and so forth as Ascended Masters and Cosmic Masters. They are fundamentally ET
with very advanced intelligence/knowledge). These Masters are in our midst to help us.)
What are your thoughts on time?
What & Who Am I?
The question that has been asked, with no clear and clean answer is: Who Am I? That the answers have been varied should not mean we ought not continue to pursue defining the answer. To get the answer we must go to the very beginning.
Which comes first “Time” or “Intelligence”?
There is “words play” here. “Time” represents a “measurement”. It does not “create”. In our language, we associate “Intelligence” with “creativity/creation”. Following this line of logical thinking the philosophy will be “Intelligence” comes first. At the very beginning, INTELLIGENCE exists. It follows, when there is Intelligence there has to be existence. In the very beginning, it is INTELLIGENCE-INFINITY with an EXISTENCE-INFINITY. The Creator is fundamentally INFINITY in Intelligence and Existence/Form.
We have this concept called “Zero Point”. At Zero Point, Intelligence is Infinity and Existence is Infinity. At this point Awareness and Conscious are totally superimposed as in Venn Diagram representation (in math Set Theory). There is no Time. Awareness and Consciousness coincides as ONE. Time is needed to preserve Consciousness. At Zero Point, logically speaking, Intelligence is strictly Awareness. Everything thing is “NOW”, no past and no future.
(We can get a sense of ZERO POINT by imagining tying a ball to a sting and whirling it in a circle. You at the centre can observe the ball whirling in Time from point to point to point as it circumscribes the circumference of the circle. At the centre, you are stationery, no Time and you can see where the ball whirling all the Time; you are at ZERO-POINT so to speak. If you shorten the string you need to whirl the ball faster; when you lengthen the string, the ball cannot whirl as fast. Before getting to ZERO-POINT, there is vibration and energy exists. The faster the vibrations, the closer you are to God-Self. Suddenly, at the Center, there is no Time and no energy is needed to whirl the ball. The ball has return to its point of origin.)
TIME and SPACE are fabrications by INTELLIGENCE.
ZERO POINT and VOID are the two ends of Infinity of Intelligence and Existence is the CREATOR. The creator is fundamentally INFINITY. Within VOID or ZERO POINT there are two fundamental infinities INTELLIGENCE and EXISTENCE. When there is Intelligence, it has to have Existence; for an Existence to know that it exists it has to have Intelligence. Within VOID there are INTELLIGENCE-INFINITY within EXISTENCE-INFINITY. For creations to happen there must be Intelligence. INTELLIGENCE creates two attributes, TIME and SPACE, to render into existence a universe of Time-Space Continuum as our universe. This Time-Space Universe exists within VOID. This Time-Space Continuum of our universe is scientifically speculated to have come about via the “Big Bang Theory”. In the Multiverse Concept, it must be that there have been many Big Bangs…All these “Big Bangs” that banged into existence remains within VOID. There are many universes in VOID.
What I Am
Out of the Infinite Intelligence, it congeals many bubbles of Intelligence. Out of the Infinite Existence, it congeals many forms. When this first level of intelligence embodies into a form there is Life in a form. This first form is the GODSELF. The GODSELF has the highest of vibration of existence in the Time-Space continuum. This GODSELF Life form is not affected by the Time-Space Continuum of our universe. This is the “What I Am” of each one of us.
Who I Am
The “What I Am”, GODSELF, comes into this universe as a Cosmic Being. In this universe there are physical forms and spiritual forms, nonetheless forms of different vibrational formats, but lower than that of the GODSELF. When the GODSELF form takes embodiment of a lower vibrational form, this lower vibrational form is the “Who I Am”. The GODSELF lowers a portion of its vibrations to match the lower vibrations of the form it wants to experience within. This portion or set of vibrations of the GODSELF then enters the lower form to experience Life in a lower dimension. In our case, only a portion of our GODSELF is embodied into the human form. One’s Intelligence could have been embodied into a tiger, bird, or fish! The “Who I Am” form is affected by Time of this Universe; the form deteriorates and becomes disfunction(dies) after a time allocated interval. Then the “What I Am” leaves the form and search for another form to be embodied into another “Who I Am”.
This is like a human (GODSELF What I Am) entering a car (Who I Am); drives the car and when the car gets too old to drive, he sells the car and leaves it. The he gets another vehicle, maybe this time a 4-wheel drive.
When asked the question: “Who Am I?” you need to consider “Which Life Time?” The “Who I Am?” is temporary and changes from Life time to Life time.
The so called “Soul Journey” is the journey of the “What I Am” in different forms of “Who I Am”.
Intelligence is the Key
“What I Am” is the eternal Intelligence that is experiencing different Life forms as the “Who I Am”. At the highest level of Awareness, this “What I Am” is one’s Personal God-Self. When this Personal God-Self comes into being into a human form (or tiger, elephant, bear) it has to lower its vibration to match with the brain and nervous systems of the form. In other word only a sub set of the God-Self awareness is allowed to enter into the human form to utilize the human brain and nervous system. In our human form we are not functioning with the full set of awareness as was in the God-Self.
Your God-Self is playing a “Mind Game” with itself, to see how small a subset of Awareness it can reduce itself and yet be able to return to its ultimate God-Self again. This game is called “Self Realization” in meditation to boot-strap one’s human awareness back to one’s God-Self’s awareness. This is the process of Ascension. It can be very dangerous to go in to yet lower forms of embodiment such as that of a cricket, an ant, or little worm. Life styles in these lower forms are “not interesting at all” now that we can see those forms from a human perspective.
Intelligence within Human.
Intelligence has two primary composites, Awareness and Consciousness. Awareness is the “active part” of the Intelligence and Consciousness is the “passive part” of the Intelligence. Consciousness is the “diary” of the “Awareness”.
“Awareness” always functions in the “Now” to experience every present moment events. It does not store its experiences as “memories and intentions”. Memories and Intentions of events are stored in “Consciousness”. Awareness is like the CPU of a computer, and Consciousness is like the storage file.

Quest of a Yogi
Young Age Yogi - Asana Yoga
A young yogi is usually attracted to physical achievements. His primary aim is to perfect as many asanas (postures) as possible. He feels proud of his achievements. Asanas help the physical body to attain and retain a youthful appearance.
Middle Age Yogi - Jnana Yoga
The middle age yogi will progressively find that he is beginning to find a growing list of asanas becoming harder to do. These asanas were one time very easy to perform when he was a young yogi. He begins to "think" and thus he begins to entertain another level of yoga, viz. Jnana Yoga. Jnana Yoga is yoga of inquiry, critical inquiries about Life. At this middle age stage of Life, the yogi begins to realize that physical attainments cannot be retained; he sees friends and older family members dying off, no longer physical so to speak. He begins to discern the "continuum of Life" beyond the physical.
Senior Age Yogi - Samadhi Yoga
When the middle age yogi discovers he cannot intellectually discern/discover or connect with his "true identity" as to the question: "Who Am I?", he begins to pursue meditation with guidelines from the Yoga Sutras, going into the mystical for answers so to speak. He spends time in Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana and then delving into Samadhi Yoga. Samadhi Yoga is reaching into the "Mystery of the Creator" for answers. Such answers are usually "personally predicated" as one's "personal truths".
We live with intention. One's desires serve as fuel to formulate one's intentions. Attention to intention is concentration. Prolonging one's attention to one's intention is either Study or Meditation. Broadly speaking, "study" relates to intentions pertaining to worldly subjects; "meditation" relates to intentions pertaining to Cosmic/Spiritual subjects.
Side Benefits of Meditation
Roy Eugene Davies (student of Pramadhansa Yoganada) gives the following reasons for meditations, and I concur.
While the primary purpose of meditation is to facilitate awakened spiritual awareness-consciousness, the side benefits are:
Sitting - Lotus, Hero, Pharaoh postures; select one.
The ideal meditation posture needs to be comfortable and pleasant for the meditation practitioner. Sit upright, with attention gently flowing towards the area between the eye brows (the spiritual eye center). This will begin the inward turning process. Be content. Accept the fact that, for the duration of the practice, there is nothing more important than what you are doing presently.
If you are a new to meditation, plan to sit for at least 20 minutes, to allow time for you to experience deep relaxation, settling of emotions and thoughts, and rest in the tranquil silence. Select a comfortable area that you can return daily, preferably at the same time(s) to cultivate this discipline. At the beginning you may have "monkey mind" (your awareness drifting into your memories, your intentions, and formulating new intentions) and "physical restlessness" (usually stemming from muscles getting tired from the posture for meditation); you have to stay for 20 minutes regardless. Eventually you (awareness; Present I Am) will have lesser & lesser distractions and feel more physically settled and intellectually/mentally focus.
How you start your practice will be determined by your psychological disposition and your knowledge of the meditation process. You may begin with prayers, to awaken to a sense of attuning with God/Creator. However God is real to you, whether as an Omnipresent Being, Universal Intelligence, or a Benevolent Being, pray to God. Praying to God, is your private acceptance that there is Creator that has gifted/created the Individualized Intelligence that your are. With awakened spiritual "awareness-consciousness integration", this initiates deeper understanding of and your relationship with God will be "personally yours with certainty".
Once you have progressed in your meditation, after arriving and resting in the tranquil silence, proceed to more intentional contemplation or visualization. Short meditation periods of 20-30 minutes are ideal for inner refreshment and centering. Longer meditation provides opportunities for more profound exploration of refined states of "awareness-consciousness integration" and for the progressive unfolding of spiritual qualities and insightful perceptions.
At the conclusion of your of your meditation practice, you may remain seated for a few minutes for the purpose of doing some intentional inner work; letting "Super Awareness" to blend more obviously with your "Present Awareness" in human physicality. Or, you may return to your normal activities.
Affirmations are you, the Intelligence that you are, declaring its intentions to be fulfilled by itself and by its physical self. When one says affirmations aloud and listens, the body cells will accept such "affirmed intentions" to be followed and fulfilled. (This is supported by such observations by Dr. Masaru Emoto, in his scientific work, documented on "messages from water". When we have positive affirmations, the water molecules in our body cells will response with beautiful structuring to keep the body healthy and alert.)
Affirmation starts with "I Am". "I Am" is the awareness of your Intelligence, and it is the authority of your Intelligence, where decisions are made.
(Say affirmations aloud when ever possible and listen to your own voice. Repeat affirmations as many times as you wish.)
I Am Youthful
I Am Healthy
I Am Strong
I Am Courage
I Am Wealthy, Abundance
I Am Beautiful, Handsome
(You may add more physical attributes.)
(Say aloud whenever practical/possible.)
I Am Intelligence ( Awareness & Consciousness)
I Am the Awareness of Intelligence. ( Awareness is Present I Am; Discerning Authority of Intelligence.)
I Am Wisdom of Intelligence. (Wisdom is discerning correctly and properly for choices in Life.)
In the tranquility of the Deep-Deep Silence (Void) make the assertions;
I Am Awareness deepening into my Consciousness
I Am Awareness receiving proper guidance information from Cosmic Consciousness
I Am Awareness deepening into the VOID/Infinite Intelligence as my path of Ascension back into the Very Intelligence that has gifted/created my Individualized Intelligence.
Affirmation for Peace
(Say affirmations aloud and listen to your own voice; if you missed, your awareness has wandered. You want 100% concentration. Repeat as many times as you wish.)
Definitions: The most important is to have Purity of Intentions in Thoughts and Deeds. Purity is "internalized essential harmlessness to oneself and to others". Purity is an internalized discipline/character of the Individualized Intelligence. Love is "externalized expression of Purity towards others". Peace is "Non-excitable disposition and or acceptance of events with understanding compassion."
Say aloud the following affirmations and when & where practical, listen to your own voice;
I Am Peace with Purity.
I Am Peace in difficulties.
I Am Peace in sadness and grief.
I Am Peace in confinement.
I Am Peace in being judged, discriminated.
I Am Peace with compassion.
I Am Peace in friendship.
I Am Peace in harmony.
I Am peace in freedom.
I Am Peace in happiness.
I Am Peace in loneliness.
I Am Peace when transitioning from Physicality to Spirituality.
I Am Peace when deepening into "Creator Intelligence".
I Am Peace in VOID.
(VOID is the Conjoint Undifferentiated Infinite Intelligence and Existence from which all Differentiated Intelligence and Existence are derived from, and exist within. Nothing can exist beyond VOID/GOD. Our Universe is a "Time-Space Continuum" a fabrication of "VOID-INTELLIGENCE" and placed with "VOID-EXISTENCE". There are many Universes within VOID.)
A Meditation into Personal Peace
(Say aloud and listen to your own voice. Later as you have advanced, you can say quietly to yourself.)
Be still and know I Am Peace (x 3)
Be still and know I Am (x 3)
Be still and know (x 3)
Be still (x 3)
Peace embraced by the Love, Wisdom and Power of VOID (x 3).
(Now, gently recess into the the tranquility of the Deep-Deep Silence; entering into VOID.
Know and feel the Peace of the Deep-Deep Silence.
Gently bring the Peace of the Deep-Deep Silence ,
Into your Intelligence (Awareness & Consciousness)
Into your Physicality (current existential form, human being)
Then sit/rest in Tranquility, in Silence and Awareness, within the Presence of VOID.
Receive whatever information (via thoughts and feelings) and experiences (sometimes physical) with gratitude.
Do not get excited by such information and experience; stay in Peace mode; observe and learn.)
A YogaChi Meditation
YogaChi identifies the "I" of each one of us as individualized "Intelligence". This meditation starts with a declaration and then proceeds with the meditative discipline.
I Am Intelligence.
Creator of my Intelligence, I love you, I bless you and I thank you for this humanity Life. I ask that you superimpose the Wisdom of Your Intelligence onto and into my Human Intelligence to allow the Awareness of my Intelligence that I Am, to create intentions with: "Essential harmlessness to myself and to others"; to bring to fruition greater Peace, Happiness, Harmony and Freedom for humanity and the world.
I sit in Deep-Deep Silence to receive Your Guidance to live a good and productive Human Life. At the end of my Human Life, I ask that My Intelligence be merged back into Your Intelligence, as my Ascension Path back to Creator of My Intelligence.
I sit in Deep-Deep Silence to await the Blessing of Your Grace* to achieve and or to receive the power to know, power to help, and power to heal, predicated by Your Wisdom.
(When you sit in the Deep-Deep Silence as the Awareness that your are, do neither access the "Consciousness of your Past" (memories), "Consciousness of your Future" (intentions); the Awareness that you are do not entertain "Desires" to create new "Intentions" (consciousness of the future), then you have "emptied your mind" so to speak. Your are simply Awareness as is......unperturbed Presence ...becoming ONE with the Deep-Deep Silence.)
(* Grace is when a Higher Authority, even in state of disappointment, can over come such, to yet offer compassion and offer help.)
(When you are done with sitting in the Deep-Deep Silence, you may end your meditation with the following invocation, placing your hands over your heart center.)
I Am calling forth from the Great Flame of Life within my Heart
Hundreds of thousands of rhythmic waves of Divine Love
Making my body young and healthy
More beautiful, peaceful and harmonious
In my physical, mental and feeling sides of Life
As events of this world and my world confronts me each day.

A philosophical definition of VOID accompany by brief discussions are pre-requisite to finalizing a statement of "Meditative Philosophy" in YogaChi.
VOID is the Conjoint Undifferentiated Infinite Intelligence and Existence from which all Differentiated Intelligence and Existence are derived and existing therein(VOID). Nothing can exist beyond VOID.
The "Conjoint" indicates that "Intelligence" & "Existence" cannot be separated; for an Existence to recognize that it exists, it must have Intelligence; and, when there is Intelligence then there is Existence.
This is consistent with the Taoism concept of the "TAO". The "Yin" and "Yang" in "TAO" are inseparable. Moreover, as per definition in Taoism, the TAO that can be defined is longer the TAO; it is similar with VOID/GOD.
All creations take place within VOID and remains within VOID. Our Universe with a Time-Space Continuum Boundary is a fabrication of VOID-INTELLIGENCE and kept within VOID-EXISTENCE. Our universe can be considered a "Differentiated Intelligence embodied into a Differentiated Existence of Time-Space Void Continuum" and held within VOID. In our universe, "Time" is Yang and "Space" is Yin.
Within VOID there are other Universes. Within each Universe there is only Relative Truth. The Absolute truth is within VOID.
Life comes into being when a Differentiated Intelligence module takes embodiment into a Differentiated Existence module.
Human Life comes into being when a Differentiated Intelligence takes embodiment into a Human Form(Existence). The human form requires oxygen, food, proper temperature and so forth. Other Life forms do not have such needs of identical/similar requirements.
The "I Am" who each of us declared to be or the "You" when one is being addressed by others is essentially the bubble of "intelligence" that is integrated into the Human Form to have human "awareness" experience. ( If the Intelligence is embodied into a tiger body, then the awareness of the Intelligence recognizes that It is a tiger life existence. I use "It" because Intelligence is not gender qualified. Intelligence is gender qualified in Existential Form.)
Intelligence is fundamentally Awareness and Consciousness.
Awareness is Present I Am. It is the Authority of Intelligence for decision making in its current Existential Form.
Our current existential form is "Human Being", and our "Awareness" is that of a "Human Being". The external "Organs of Awareness" for a human are the eyes, ears, nose, tongue and skin. They are used by "Intelligence" to experience our human world so to speak.
The organs of awareness that bridge the "Intelligence-Human Awareness" to that of "Intelligence-Cosmic Awareness" are purportedly the pituitary gland and the pineal gland. They are activated by processes of meditation.
Consciousness is Total I Am. It is the complete repository of knowledge and experiences that the Differentiated Intelligence has had experience and will experience. It is All Information of the Differentiated Intelligence. Records of the Past are Memories and Records of the Future are Intentions. (Consciousness is used by Awareness, the very essence of "I" , the authority of Intelligence).
Life comes into being when a "Differentiated Intelligence" embodies into an "Existential Format". Life as a human being is lived with "intentions". Intentions are formed from desires, derived from the organs of awareness that sense the existential format environment. Attention of Awareness to Intention is Concentration; prolonging attention to intention is either Study or Meditation.
"Study" is priming of Intelligence to live and survive/thrive in its present existential format. As an individualized "intelligence" that is embodied into a human form in this world, study is the priming of one's intelligence to survive/thrive in this world within the human culture. For examples, a human study to be a farmer, a doctor, an engineer, a scientist, an architect and so forth.
"Meditation" is the priming of Intelligence to survive/thrive in the future of this world; and, beyond this world.
YogaChi asserts Life Continuum is truly the "Continuum of Experiences of (individualized) Intelligence" embodying into the different formats of Existence, within the different existential boundaries within VOID.
What is "Mind" ?
Mind is a function of Intelligence. Mind is the process of Awareness actively accessing Memories(Consciousness of the Past) and Intentions(Consciousness of the Future) and via organs of Awareness (eyes, ears, nose, tongue, skin) current perceptions/desires and formulating new intentions.
"Emptying the Mind" means Awareness ceases to access and process Consciousness of the Past(Memories), Consciousness of the Future(Intentions) and present sensory perceptions/desires formulating into new intentions (to be filed by Ego into Consciousness).
Meditative Philosophy in YogaChi
In "Essential harmless to one's Being and to others", the intentions of meditation (in YogaChi) is the priming one's Intelligence back to the Very Intelligence that has created/gifted one's individualized intelligence.
The methodology to achieve such "Ascension" to "Creator" is to recess into the tranquility of the Deep-Deep Silence, into VOID, to receive enlightenment information from the VOID.
Meditation for Ascension is, firstly, the expanding one's Awareness into one's Consciousness; secondly, the continuum of expanding one's Awareness into VOID.
Intellectually discerning and be open to new possibilities and probabilities trending to new certainties.
A Description of Intelligence
Intelligence is comprised of "innate integrated intelligent modules" with the qualities and attributes spanning from NIL to INFINITY. Intelligence at least has the following innate integrated intelligent modules/attributes: awareness, consciousness, and discernment.
It is the "current moment"/field of "knowing and remembering". "Awareness" is the "Present I Am". It is the Authority of the current Existential Intelligence, the form in which the individualized Intelligence has been embodied into. Awareness when "awakened", will have critical "discernment" in the following areas:
Other components in "Awareness" are "Personality", "Ego", "Passion" and or "Obsession".
"Personality" is the "collective experiences" which "Intelligence" has had experienced. The present "Awareness" is influenced by such collective experiences, imparts the "personality traits" into the current Existential (Human) Form.
Within "Personality" lies the power to moderate "Discernment" to adapt", to "learn", "to be nice" or "not to be nice", "to have a passion", to "have an obsession", and so forth.
"Ego" is the module that files and retrieves present knowledge and experiences of current "Awareness" into becoming part of the "Consciousness" in Intelligence of the current Life (intelligence in human existential format).
Ego has its own intelligence, liken to a software program that has artificial intelligence (A.I.). It is to act subservient to the authority of Awareness. Sometimes, based on desires, "Ego" (functioning on its own accord) will color the ability of Awareness (Discernment Module within Awareness) to make proper judgement. The result becomes an external expression of the individual that contravenes the Law of Purity: Essential harmlessness to oneself and to others. One's Karma is fundamentally a contravention of the Law of Purity referenced against one's own Divine Plan resulting in one's own Akashic Record. The Akashic Record is a combination of both Karma and Merits. (It is important for Awareness via Discernment to recognize the unbecoming behavior of Ego, and command it to return to its proper function of only filing and retrieving information from Consciousness for Awareness.)
"Consciousness" is the library/repository of "all information that has been experienced and will experience" by Intelligence. It contains information and experiences of the past as "memories" and information of the future as "intentions" for Intelligence to recall/remember to use, to fulfill. The Intelligence's component that uses "intentions" and "memories" stored in Consciousness, is Awareness.
There are levels of Awareness - "Present Existential Format I Am" and "Cosmic I Am". The "quality" of Awareness determines the Intelligence's vibrations. The quality of the Intelligence's vibration determines the "existential format" that it can be embodied into. Our present existential "I Am Intelligence" is the "Human". The "Human I Am" is a subset of the Cosmic Intelligence-Awareness.
In finale "Awareness" and "Consciousness" will coincide when there is instant knowing without the need to commit "information/experiences" into Consciousness; and, then for the need of Awareness to retrieve via Ego to remember/recall/recollect. (When this happens, the Ego module is no longer needed. This will be explained only in workshop.)
Intellectual Definition of YogaChi
In essential harmlessness to oneself and to others, YogaChi is Physical, Intellectual and Meditative Quests in Life, bridging from the Divinity that has been individualized into oneself (human self) to the Divinity that is beyond the Human-self.
YogaChi - Philosophical Quests
The entry to YogaChi practices is via its Intellectual Quest, which is a form of Jnana Yoga.
