YogaChi is a fusion of yoga, tai-chi, and chi-gong. Yoga Chi was created by Paul Yapp, a martial arts chi gong master and certified senior Hatha yoga teacher.
While in school, he worked part time at a karate studio in Toronto. The karate master brought him under his wings and Paul taught at the Wong Karate and Kung Fu Society for years. Now his home base is in Edmonton, Alberta but he teaches all over Canada. Over decades, he has evolved and developed these skills:
- Chinese Kung Fu Wu Shu
- Japanese Karate (Black belt - Okinawa Shorin-Ryu)
- Wu, Yang, and other styles of Tai Chi Chuan
- Martial Arts Chi Gong (Qi Gong)
- Medical Chi Gong (Qi Gong)
- Certified Senior Hatha Yoga Teacher
- Hatha Yoga Training Teacher with the Yoga Association of Alberta
- Certified by Gerda Krebs Hatha Yoga Centre
In addition to his trainings, he also has a Bachelor of Science in Physics, Bachelor in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, and is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) under the NHPC. His experience also includes cupping, acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicines, and many other holistic modalities.
